SABUGAL WELCOMES A NEW TRIATHLON EDITION AND THE 1st JUVENILE AQUATHLON PROMO

Sabugal will welcome a new Triathlon edition, on the 25th as well as the Juvenile Aquathlon Promo, on the 24th.

The sporting event consists of the organization of a Juvenile Aquathlon Promo, which will be disputed in a segmented model (swimming and running do not take place on a continuous basis, but separately timed, as distinctive events. The result of the performance of each municipal athlete is obtained based on the sum of the timings in each segment).

The Triathlon event, rated for the National Triathlon Club Championship, will focus on the Sprint distance on Saturday.

Swimming: 750m (1 lap)
Cycling: 20,000m (2 laps)
Running: 5,000m (2 laps)

The swimming event takes place at the Sabugal Dam, and the cycling route will occur between the villages of Amiais and Aldeia de Santo António. The Sabugal city centre will be the place for the running course and finishing area.

The 1st  Aquathlon / 6th  Sabugal Triathlon are part of this great sporting event organized by the Municipality of Sabugal, with the assistance of the Portuguese Triathlon Federation.
