The Universidade Aberta has a LLC – Local Learning Center – settled in the Sabugal Municipality, and this year proposes the Summer Virtual Campus, that aims to  promote online training in a digital platform – Image, Sound, Action: Production and Online Editing of Audiovisual Contents, for high school students (10th, 11th and 12th grades).

The training has 26 hours of length and will occur between the 27 of June and 15 of July, costing 60 euros per participant.

The course, that was designed together with the Caminhos do Cinema Portguês, has the goal of educating the young and the school universe to the potential of audiovisual productions as a tool for communication and education. In the end of the training, the valuation will be decided on a final video work (video clip, short film, ficiton, documentary, animation, video art), and the best works, individual and group, will be awarded with the invitation to appear in the Caminhos Film Festival 2016, with payed transportation and accommodation in the city of Coimbra, where the Festival will take place.

The Sabugal Municipality awards the training course to the top three students (one of each grade), as a way of promoting academic success, as deliberated at the City Hall Meeting of June 13.
