BENDADA MUSIC FESTIVAL: OPENING CONCERT BY THE VSNY

Saturday night, the Virtuoso Soloists of New York ensemble (VSNY) opened in a high note the Bendada Mucic Festival, with an unforgettable concert that was held in Casa da Música.

In this show titled “Transatlantic: a dialogue of music and poetry”, the music, written by Portuguese, Italian and American song composers, reflected the cultural diversity  of the ensemble´s musicians, creating a transatlantic bridge between the two continents: Europe and North America, having the VSNY, at the end of the concert, treated the present with the Bendada Hymn.

Founded in 2014, the ensemble gathers some of the best musicians residing in New York, Boston and Chicago, in the United States, From from different backgrounds, eacho of the musicians lends his personality, culture, experience and musical taste to each performance.

Until next Wednesday the 20th, the audience may expect an authentic musical immersion, with music, concerts, masterclasses and outdoor activities. Today, will be the Malcata Parish Church to host a commemorative concert of the first anniversary of the Malcata com Futuro Association, with the VSNY, composed by young talents of 5 countries: United States, Moldavia, Italy, Serbia and Portugal.

This Festival is organized by the Sabugal Authority and the Bendada Parish Council, together with the Bandadende Philharmonics Society.
